The 14th
International MicroTherm Conference

is a recurring event with an international scope, initiated in 1996 (as the seminar “Thermal Issues in Electronics”). Its mission is to create and continuously develop a forum for scientists from Poland and around the world who conduct research in areas such as micro and nano electronics, optoelectronics, photovoltaics, thermal issues, materials and measurements, and technological challenges. Through the establishment of direct personal contacts, the conference fosters the activation of interdisciplinary and international scientific discussions regarding research results, exchange of experiences, achievements, ideas, and perspectives for collaboration.

The global nature of the MicroTherm conference allows for the promotion of Lodz University of Technology and other Polish universities and scientific units on the international research stage. In previous editions, scientists from many European countries such as Czech Republic, France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Ukraine, and Italy, as well as from countries on other continents, including Japan, China, Mexico, the USA, Algeria and India, participated in the MicroTherm conferences.

In the upcoming edition, special “science-business” sessions are planned, opening opportunities for cooperation at the intersection of these two worlds. The conference program also includes a special session dedicated to young scientists and doctoral students. Following the good practices established in previous editions, this session will feature a competition for the Best Young Scientist Paper.
