Dear Researchers, Academics and Industry Representatives

Soon, we will once again have the opportunity to meet at the international Microtherm Conference, which will be held in Łódź on 28–30 June 2027.

I am extremely pleased that, at a time of such rapid development in semiconductor and optoelectronic technologies, as well as an explosion of applications driven by advances in artificial intelligence and autonomous systems, we can share the latest results in the development of electronic devices, circuits, and systems, while also discussing the increasingly important thermal challenges facing modern technologies.

Located at the heart of Poland’s major transportation and energy networks, Łódź is also making intensive efforts to develop its electronics sector, recognizing its enormous potential. Building on your unwavering support, the long-standing tradition of Microtherm, and the great opportunities offered by this rapidly developing region, we are working to prepare an attractive and inspiring programme that will not only provide a platform for discussing the latest scientific achievements but also facilitate connections with the international research and industrial community of the semiconductor sector. The team of the Department of Semiconductor and Optoelectronic Devices at Lodz University of Technology, in cooperation with the Institute of Microelectronics and Optoelectronics at Warsaw University of Technology, is once again making every effort to prepare a focused yet rich scientific program for the conference, complemented by a variety of networking opportunities.

I am convinced that, as in previous editions, we can once again count on your invaluable support and active participation.

See you in Łódź!

Chairman of MicroTherm 2027
Prof. Maciej Sibiński
